About Us

QNS Aquatic Club (QNS) is an organization that can meet any swimmer's needs. Our philosophy is technique, technique, technique! This is carried from our first level in the QAC Swim School through the highest level of the competitive team. There is no need to swim a lap unless it is perfect. QNS Aquatic Club will be able to accommodate you no matter what swim experience you are looking for.

The goal of QAC is to instill a love of swimming that will stay with the swimmer for life, while promoting safety, health and proper technique.

 

Competitive Team

 QNS Aquatic Club will produce the highest level of athlete, competing against the best the sport has to offer. The goal of the competitive team is not only being one of the best club in Metro, but being recognized as one of the top clubs in the country.

GROUP LEVELS

 

NOVICE

The Novice Team is for swimmers of similar ability ages 7-10. Requirements for entry to Novice are to swim all four competitive strokes legally, and to show a higher level of focus in practice. Pace and speed training will be introduced.

Recommended attendance is 3x per week

JUNIOR

Junior is comprised of swimmers with competitive experience looking to reach the next level. Technique is reinforced daily while introducing a higher intensity of training. Minimum age requirement is 9 years old. Recommended attendance is 3-4x per week

 SELECT

The Select Team is for swimmers of similar ability ages 10-12. Requirements for entry to Select are to swim all four competitive strokes legally and demonstrate an understanding of dives, turns and lane etiquette.

Recommended attendance is 4x per week

SELECT ELITE


The Select Elite group is for 9-12 year old swimmers that have excelled in the pool and are striving towards higher goals. Junior Metropolitan qualifying times required. Entry by coach recommendation only.

Recommended attendance is 4x per week

SENIOR ELITE

The Senior Elite Group is the most exclusive group of 11-14 year old swimmers on the team. Requirements are Jr Mets Finals, Zone Cuts and NCSA Florida Cuts. Placement is by invitation only. These swimmers are some of the best in the Metro LSC and get a great focus on training and higher-level technical race strategy.

Recommended attendance is 5x per week, with 2 dryland sessions per week.

PREP

The Prep Team is for swimmers of similar ability ages 13-18. Requirements for entry to Prep are to swim all four competitive strokes legally and demonstrate an understanding of dives, turns and lane etiquette.

Recommended attendance is 4x per week

NATIONAL

The National Group is comprised of our 13 and older swimmers on the path to the National Prep Team. Their practice is split between technique work and high intensity training. B - BB+ times required. Swimmers show an ability to process corrections in practice and have a higher level of commitment to the sport. 

Expected attendance is 4x per week

NATIONAL PREP

The National Group is comprised of our 13 and older swimmers on the path to the National Elite Team. Their practice is also split between technique work and high intensity training. Requirements are ‘A’ time standards or Junior Metropolitan qualifications.

Expected attendance is 5x per week

NATIONAL ELITE

National Elite is comprised of the swimmers that excel to the highest levels of the sport. Members will train for Sectional, National and other top level competitions. ​Entry by invitation only. Senior Mets qualifying times required. Practice requirement is 6 days a week plus strength training.

Required attendance is 6 times a week, with 2-3 dryland sessions a week.

Summer Swim schedule varies: We swim 50LCM twice a week starting in April, and 50LCM 6 days a week once school ends.
